Password Organizer is a password storage program that runs directly with Internet Explorer. Password Organizer has a “quick links” function that will launch the user to the website with saved login information then automatically fills in the fields. It also prompts the user to save new passwords while surfing the Internet.
While this program is easy to use, it is not very secure and we were unable to make it work consistently. Theoretically, this software is easy-to-use, especially with its browser integration, however we couldn’t get the autofill feature to work correctly and you have very little control over the database. Unlike other products in this review, Password Organizer works almost exclusively from the browser, although you can add or edit passwords directly from the application.
There are little to no security features associated with this software. The program relies on the user to make up passwords. Making back–ups of your passwords is difficult and there is no way to print a hard copy.
Customer support is available through email, although only one of our four questions was answered. There is also a phone number to London, but they do not offer a toll free line.
